Since May 14, Avenue Mont-Royal has been pedestrianized. It's a sign that summer is on its way, with picnics in the parks, roaming the streets and good ice cream on the way. When the pedestrian is king, the stroll can only be more pleasant.

To take full advantage of this pedestrian space, the next Mont-Royal Avenue trade show will be held from Thursday, May 25 to Sunday, May 28, 2023. A delightful event for the hundreds of thousands of Plateau residents and Montrealers who frequent it, the «Foire de l'Avenue» heralds summer in a way, with its many open terraces inviting visitors to stroll and enjoy a drink in good company.

More than 350 businesses spread over 2.5 kilometers of pedestrian street, from boulervard Saint-Laurent to Fullum street, will be displaying their wares on outdoor stalls, in a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere. For passers-by, these are sure to be bargains not to be missed. Shops will be open until 11 p.m. on Thursday May 25, Friday May 26 and Saturday May 27, and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

As for the many terraces lining the Avenue, they will be open until 1 a.m. from Thursday May 25 to Saturday May 27, and until 10 p.m. on Sunday May 28, 2023.

The Foire commerciale will then give way to the pedestrianization of Avenue du Mont-Royal, with its new amenities and summer activities running from June 10 to September 5, 2023. The program will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
