That’s why the Halte team is sharing a few simple steps you can take in the coming weeks; now is the time to adopt more eco-friendly habits!
- We invite you to bring your meal in recyclable or reusable containers. It’s a small step that helps prevent the creation of too much plastic waste. If you like to grab a coffee in the morning, consider getting a reusable cup.
- If you have batteries lying around at home and want to get rid of them, take the time to drop them off at a collection point. Not sure where the nearest one is? Visit the Recycle Your Batteries Canada website to find a drop-off center!
- Find a local sustainable business to support, whether it’s near your home or close to La Halte. We suggest shops like Le Moineau Masqué or Vivace!
- Use public transit or walk whenever possible! Bus, metro, Bixi: you have plenty of options for getting around.
- Try preparing a meatless meal once a week—whether it’s a salad, a pasta dish, or any other recipe that inspires you!
These are small actions that, in the long run, can have a big impact; now is the time to start adopting practices that help care for our planet. The Halte team hopes we’ve inspired you to adopt more eco-friendly habits!
