The holiday season is approaching, a time when many will gather with their loved ones to celebrate the festive season. La Halte cherishes these moments together, but we also believe that the holiday season is a time when it is important to give to others. That is why La Halte is once again organising a food drive in support of the Verticale food bank this year.

The holiday season remains a time when many households find themselves in precarious situations, and when being able to celebrate fully becomes a luxury. Food banks play an important role throughout the year, including during this festive period.

We believe in the power of community and its tangible impact. That is why we feel it is important to come together to collect food and support this important cause.

The collection will take place from 4 to 18 December. To participate, you can drop off food items in the designated area near the reception area. If you can, please encourage your colleagues, friends and family to participate. The more we give, the greater our impact will be.

All donations are welcome, but here is a list of the most requested items:

• Canned goods (vegetables, meat, soups)
• Pasta, rice, lentils
• Cereals, cereal bars
• Long-life dairy products (milk, shredded cheese)
• Baby products (jars of baby food, nappies)
• Chocolates, biscuits and sweets
• Fruit juice, coffee, tea

It is advisable to avoid perishable items and products in breakable containers (e.g. glass jars). It is also recommended that products be kept in their original packaging.
