The holiday season is fast approaching, and at La Halte, we are eager to celebrate Christmas not only by sharing great moments together but also by offering our support to those in need. This year, we are launching a food donation drive to support the Vertical Food Bank (https://centrevertical.org/), to help make this season even more special for individuals and families facing hardship.
Why is this drive important?
Christmas is a time of generosity, but unfortunately, for many families, it remains an unattainable luxury. Every year, hundreds of people face food insecurity, especially during the winter months. The food bank plays a crucial role in providing meals to the most vulnerable and offering vital support during these difficult times.
We firmly believe that, as a community, we have the power to make a real difference. That’s why we have decided to come together to collect food donations and support this important cause.
How to participate in the drive?
The collection will run until December 18, just before Christmas. Here’s how you can participate:
- Bring your donations to the reception: We have set up a dedicated collection area in our coworking space. You can drop off non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, soups, chocolate, and many more. Every donation counts!
- Encourage your colleagues and partners: Feel free to invite your colleagues, friends, and partners to take part! The more of us who contribute, the greater our impact will be.
What products are most needed?
While all donations are appreciated, the food bank is particularly in need of the following items during this period:
- Canned goods (vegetables, meats, soups)
- Pasta, rice, lentils
- Cereal, granola bars
- Long shelf-life dairy products (milk, grated cheese)
- Baby products (baby food jars, diapers)
- Chocolates, biscuits, and sweets
- Fruit juices, coffee, tea
The products should be non-perishable and, preferably, in their original packaging to ensure quality.
We thank you in advance for your participation and generosity. Together, let’s make this Christmas a time of sharing and solidarity.
